Lenten Reflection

Day 22

This chapter has many convicting challenges; one of being for you to match your faith with action. This is where “being” meets “doing” because being a disciple means doing what the teacher instructs. Don’t just contemplate what God’s Word says, DO what it says. You are now beginning the difficult time where temptation lures you to give up and give in. But strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord! Reflect on whether your time of prayer and fasting has been more focused on listening rather than  doing. Ask God for wisdom about where He wants to lead you during this time, and wait on Him to answer you.

Prayer of consecration

Lord,

I confess my sins and failures to you and I am very sorry for having sinned against You.  Give me the strength to seek and accept Your grace and forgiveness.

Lord Jesus, you poured yourself out completely and died for me so that I would have eternal life. I claim that wonderful and indescribable gift of salvation.

Create a pure heart in me, refresh my spirit and renew my mind and body.

I consecrate myself to you Lord and ask that you use me according to your holy will.

I pray in Jesus name.

Amen
