Fearless trust

Today is about desiring and acting with "fearless trust" in what God calls you to.

In order to trust God, we have to seek Him: To fearlessly seek to be in the presence of God and sense that we are striving to come and seek His face. To seek the face of God.

During these past 5 weeks you have been seeking much; our focus may shift from this thing to that thing. It's easy to focus on seeking things from God, it's quite another to seek God Himself, to seek his face and not just his open and giving hand. Think of it this way: It's one thing to approach the king to kiss his hand, it's another to approach a loving Father and kiss his face. God is both: Soveriegn King and Father. He is more than capable of meeting our needs and answering our prayers, but  He also loves you more deeply than you can possibly know. When you seek his face, you end up in a much closer posture to him. Today pray that you will seek God's face and get closer to him than you ever have before.

Prayer of consecration

Lord,

I confess my sins and failures to you and I am very sorry for having sinned against You.  Give me the strength to seek and accept Your grace and forgiveness.

Lord Jesus, you poured yourself out completely and died for me so that I would have eternal life. I claim that wonderful and indescribable gift of salvation.

Create a pure heart in me, refresh my spirit and renew my mind and body.

I consecrate myself to you Lord and ask that you use me according to your holy will.

I pray in Jesus name.
