Tear open your heart
"Rend your hearts and not your garments". That's what the Lord said to his people. He is literally saying tear open your heart so that I may rebuild, repair and restore it.
Tearing your heart wide open today is the most powerful and painful thing you can do; but, it's necessary.
Why is it necessary for you to tear open your heart? Because, everything not exposed to the light and air will become worse and infect other areas.
We need to understand that God is the ultimate healer of the human heart even when we are the ultimate hoarder of every emotional handgrenade put there.
Often times we hold onto so much stuff that does not belong to us; the hurt, pain, doubt, fear...the list of negative feelings goes no and on.
It is only when we willingly tear open our hearts and reveal what's inside can the healing light of God's mercy and grace penetrate the dark and festered pain and suffering that we harbor within.
Today, as you bare your heart to the Lord and his mercy, rest and allow yourself to heal in His compassion and unfailing love.
Ask him for vision or for dreams that reveal his plan for you, and be ready to be amazed!

Prayer of consecration
Lord,
I confess my sins and failures to you and I am very sorry for having sinned against You. Give me the strength to seek and accept Your grace and forgiveness.
Lord Jesus, you poured yourself out completely and died for me so that I would have eternal life. I claim that wonderful and indescribable gift of salvation.
Create a pure heart in me, refresh my spirit and renew my mind and body.
I consecrate myself to you Lord and ask that you use me according to your holy will.
I pray in Jesus name.
Amen
